Learn How Rising Scholars Collective Supports:
Neurodivergent Learners
Rising Scholars Collective honors neurodiversity by recognizing and valuing different ways of thinking, learning, and communicating. We support students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent profiles through strengths-based approaches, flexible strategies, and affirming practices that build confidence and self-advocacy.
We support students with disabilities by helping families navigate educational systems, accommodations, and services. Our work centers access, dignity, and equity, ensuring students receive the supports they are legally entitled to while also being seen for who they are beyond a diagnosis.
Rising Scholars Collective partners with first-generation and historically marginalized families to reduce barriers to educational access. We provide guidance, clear information, and advocacy support in ways that are culturally responsive and empowering, so families can make informed decisions and feel confident engaging with schools and institutions.
Our programs and resources are grounded in Universal Design principles, meaning they are intentionally created to be accessible, flexible, and inclusive from the start. We design supports that work for a wide range of learners, reducing the need for individual accommodations and promoting equitable learning environments for all.
We believe families are experts on their children. Rising Scholars Collective practices family-centered advocacy by listening first, collaborating closely, and centering family goals and values. We support families in amplifying their voices and advocating effectively, while ensuring they are respected partners in every step of the process.
